This tessellation is created from American Vernacular photos that were manipulated and altered in ways that made the images unrecognizable. The photos were manipulated in photoshop using a variety of tools such as picture effects and color replacements that distorted the images, and then added to InDesign to create a tessellation. I liked changing the pictures and applying effects to them, but found it difficult to reach a color harmony in the end. It was fun to distort and manipulate the images in photoshop and learning how to use this program as it is very challenging in the beginning but very fun once things are figured out.
